noris plastic is not a classic mechanical engineering company – we come from a plastics production background. So the know-how from 30 years of process engineering is in all our semi-finished products and machines. With around 30 employees, we serve customers from all over the world, with a focus on Europe.

Our customers are professionals in the world of plastics and beginners alike. We carry out production tests in our technical center, Material tests and optimizations and training courses. In this way, we work in partnership with our customers to achieve success.
We are location-conscious for high quality.
To cover all sectors from the agricultural and pharmaceutical to compound manufacturers we consistently focus on high quality. This is why we maintain a high level of in-house development and production depth at our company headquarters in Germany. Where necessary, we make acquisitions, primarily in Europe, in order to ensure sustainable and efficient value creation.

Recycling has been part of our thinking and practice since the company was founded in 1969 in order to reuse production waste and scrap. Among other things, we recycle our customers’ materials and design complete recycling systems for an efficient material cycle in line with the circular economy.

1969
Dipl.-Ing. Hellmut Tenner founds noris plastic in Nuremberg. At the beginning, the focus is on the extrusion of profiles made of thermoplastics.
1974
Continuous growth (1) – a move within Nuremberg and an expansion of the production area followed as early as 1974.
1983
Building up expertise – the production of technical profiles has been part of the portfolio since 1983.
1985
Entry into mechanical engineering – noris plastic manufactures co-extruders for its own production.
1987
The construction industry becomes a customer – noris plastic develops and manufactures main and secondary profiles for windows.
1989
Generation change (1) – Dipl.-Ing. Ralf Tenner joins the management team.

Sustainability right from the start – noris plastic also develops and manufactures plastic winding cores from 100% recyclate.
1992
Continuous growth (2) – New production and office buildings with warehouse are built in Altdorf near Nuremberg. Mechanical engineering takes off with the construction of laboratory and test extruders.
1992
Generational change (2) – Business administration graduate Axel Tenner joins the management team. Since then, the two brothers have steered the fortunes of the plastics specialist.
1996
Portfolio expansion (1) – the mechanical engineering program is expanded, from complete laboratory and small production systems for extrusion to production systems with throughput capacities of up to 400 kg/h.
2000
Continuous growth (3) – another production, office and warehouse building is erected.
2002
Portfolio expansion (2) – noris plastic starts with the development and production of twin-screw extruders.
2011
Innovation (1) – in cooperation with the University of Chemnitz, noris plastic launches the new development of a flexible twin-screw extruder with non-combing screws. It is particularly suitable for processing alternative raw materials.
2012
Continuous growth (4) – noris plastic acquires the neighboring property with warehouse. The floor space is thus expanded to approx. 15,000 m², the hall and office space to approx. 4,500 m².
2018
Continuous growth (5) – the production area is expanded by approx. 500 m². This includes a cutting center for the manufacture of plastic winding cores for the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Continuous growth (6) – noris plastic builds an additional warehouse to optimize the internal material flow and further shorten delivery times.

Innovation (2) – the Twinflex twin-screw extruder developed in cooperation with Chemnitz University of Technology is granted a patent. A breakthrough in the gentle processing of regenerative raw materials.
